McFarland High School has gone from 569 in 2003 to a score of 670 in 2011; this represents an overall growth of 101 points (Click on chart to expand). We are impressed with how our students demonstrate continuous improvement, and we are particularly pleased with how many of our subgroups improved as it demonstrates our efforts in narrowing the gap between groups of students.
The Academic Performance Index ranks schools based on results from the California Standardized Test and the California High School Exit Exam. Scores range from a low of 200 to a high of 1,000. The state's goal is for all schools to receive API scores of 800 by the year 2012.
