Gates Millennium Scholarship
Kimberly Fajardo and Cesar Hernandez; both McFarland High School Seniors have joined the elite club of Gates Millennium Scholars. The scholarship program targets high-performing, low-income kids who are black, Hispanic, Asian or Native American, nationally. They were selected from a pool of 52,000 applicants. Kimberly and Cesar are the oldest of the children in their families and the first to go to college; all through high school they both have focused on their academic
