The McFarland Unified School District is committed to provide a safe learning environment that supports academic achievement. School safety is a community issue that requires collaboration between the schools, emergency response agencies, parents and the community. A school safety plan takes an all hazards approach. The plan should address prevention, response and recovery for any emergency.

California Education Code (EC) Section 32281(a) requires every kindergarten through grade twelve school, public and public charter, including community and court schools, to develop and maintain a CSSP designed to address campus risks, prepare for emergencies, and create a safe, secure learning environment for students and school personnel.  Please check with your school site administration or reception office for more information.
